b18a swap questions
I have the chance to buy a 91 b18a engine and tranny to drop in my 92 hatch cx. The guy that is selling the engine said that the ecu and wiring harness are both missing. What all do I need to get this engine in my hatch and running? I was told to get an ecu and wiring harness from an obd1 integra cause the wiring on a 91 b18a is obd0. Please give me some advice on this swap. I wanna go turbo eventually and I think that this would be a good engine to do that with since I'm getting a good deal on the thing. Please feel free to give any advice about this idea. Thanks

Re: b18a swap questions (rwcdrums)
What would even make your swap plug in even better is getting a 94 and up Intake manifold. The reason is because then your harness will plug right in. You don't need to go get a LS OBD1 harness, you can simply use your Civic harness. ALso you would need a Ls OBD1 P75 ecu, to run the fuel correctly. Also you have to use your stock injcetors, because they are also OBD1, not the non-OBD ls injectors that it comes with.
BTW, I do have a LS intake manifold for sale. Email me an offer for it shipped. Trust me it's alot easier using a OBD1 LS intake manifold then a non-OBD LS intake manfild. You don' have all these holes and wires everywhere.

I would wait until a better deal comes along. B18A into a 92-95 isn't a good swap. You'll need to replace the tranny with a hydro tranny or buy a hydro to cable conversion, replace the non-OBD components with OBDI, it really work out to more $ in the longrun.
