Default b18a built up?

ok i got a b18a in my rex that needs a new headgasket, valve cover gasket and is shooting out white smoke so it probably the piston rings, so this shops wants like 8 bills to fix all this but i was thinking i want to go ls vtec but i dont want to buy a b16 head yet cuz i dont have enough money.... can i jus get the ITR pistons and oem rings and have a built non vtec for now so im basically askign with ITR pistons work in the block non vtec for a while thanks

yes but you need to machine your rods a little for them to fit your probably better off going with p30(jdm b16a) pistons they fit right on your rods and give you 11.1-1 compression with your head and they will have you ready for a b16 head for the future
