Default b18 vs. b20?..

Is the b20 really worth it, over a b18?.. I know it has more torque.. but not as much. Isn't the b18 in terms of torque.. 128tq.. and the b20b a little more than that.. 130ish maybe? I might plan on going turbo and was wondering what would be better.. b18 or b20?

B20 hands down.

Different and beefer sleeves. Larger bore and I don't remember the exact Ft-lbs number however, every little bit makes a difference.

Both would need new rods for turbo. Actually the piston to rod pin is the limiting factor.

I would go B20, stronger block. the rods can take about 8-9psi, and can be reved to 8500 but reving that high woth stock rods is sorta risky.
B20 all the way

I know this is off the subject but to boost a b20 up to 9psi or around that.. You would need at least just pistons and rods correct?.. good tuning n all that also. What kind of pistons and what kind of rods? Thanks.

For 9 psi stock internals are just fine. You can even boost higher as long as you alter the fuel settings and get larger injectors. JE makes good pistons and Crower and Eagle make good rods.

Would a B20/Vtec be good at 9psi with proper tuning?

Anything would handle 9 psi with PROPER tuning. Just have to know what you're doing.
