b18 into ek leftover connections?
ive got everything that was loose connected up to something....but i have an open coolant (i belive) connection on the manifold, and an open one on the water pipe.
any ideas?
the manifold one is to the left (towards drivers side) of the big connection on the manifold...
the open connection on the water pipe is also on the drivers side, im not sure what year the pipe is off of, so that may be why....
ill post up pics if you need me too...this is the last thing holding me back from starting it

pics would be ideal
the little piece that branches off of the big outlet on the manifold i believe should run up to one feed on the IACV on the back of the manifold, then the other nipple on the iacv should be connected via hose to the little nipple on the water pipe; it's smallish.
i am unsure of which feed on the pipe you are talking about since there are a few.
one that i didn't use and had a hose with a clamped stainless bolt was a little one that came off of the big front block feed; it was facing rearward and i'm unsure of what i needed that for, but everything else was hooked up so i blocked it off as stated.

you can see the nipple on the water pipe here, and in the second shot just behind the wiring just to give you an idea of where it is.
is the iacv the valve that sits on the back of the manifold or the one on the bottom of the tb? or what is the one on th ebottom of the tb and does it need a coolant line? because this is how it sits now, and i just assumed it was vac line...
thanks for the help man

ahh ok. well, the nipple you show on the rail is indeed for the iacv, which is the thing that hangs on the back of the mani with the black cylinder looking part.
the thing on the TB is a fitv

that needs coolant as well from somewhere too!

yeah i was just down there and figured out the fitv goes to the open nipple on the manifold, but the bipple on the water pipe isnt for the iacv...i already used one nipple for that.so no it goes waterpipe---line--iacv---line---fitv--line--manifold.
and i found a hose diagram that makes that right i believe.... i really think that other waterpipe hole is extra, because the pipe on the d16 i took out only has one nipple on the waterpipe not two...leading me to think there really is no connection to it....

oh well, glad you figured it out tho.
one more thing- i'd say if you have to have a left over nipple, make it one that is in an easy to reach place rather than underneath a bunch of stuff.
