B18 Install in EF (bay area??)
Anyone know who can do a '91 b18a1 install (obd0) in a 91 EF hatchback?
I Have everything needed for the swap except for the hubs, and axles (still looking for those) I could put the engine in and everything, but I have no idea on what to do for the wiring. If someone local could help out, or even do the whole swap it would be cool. I got cash.
Let me know

all you need is ecu, motor trans axles mounts and shift linkage distributerand your old engine harness as long as its a mpfi harness if not you will have to convert it to mpfi from dual point.

why dont you call them and ask? How much do you think something like this should cost? I'm sure you can find someone on here that will do it in thier driveway for a 12 pack of beer and $100, but what happens if something goes wrong when you drive away? Are they going to be willing to help you out after you leave. Are they going to make sure your car has no check engine lights and all the smog devices are connected so you can take the car to the Ref and pass inspection? The saying goes like this " You get what you pay for. " Redzone as some of the best customer service I have ever seen from a shop in NorCal. In my opinoin redzone is worth the money. I have seen them go way out of thier way to make a customer satisfied.

Im kinda on a buget and the $1,800 quote from redzone awhile back was way our of the question.
I can put the engine in the car, and connect the mounts. Its really just the wiring I dont have time for.

If I quoted you $1,800.00 then it was more then just a swap. This swap from us if you have all the parts is $750.00 car comes in running and leaves running. If you need just the wiring done then its $350.00 for the wiring and to start it up and make sure everything is in order. No check engine lights and so on. I'm not sure where you got $1800.00 from but I hope I don't have to hurt someone at the shop for quoting you wrong Are you sure you didn't ask for more then just the swap done? Maybe a new clutch, Timing belt, Water pump, and so one? no matter. If you need just the wiring done let me know. I would be happy to help you out if you need it.

I dont remember who I talked to but it was a few months ago when I was just thinking about doing the swap. I will keep you guys in mind after I get all the parts. Still having trouble finding hubs.

Its a 91, its heavier because of the seat belts are in the doors, and they have more reinforcements in the doors. When I got it smogged, the paper said 2,695. I don't know if that was with the guy in it, or what. But I don't see how it can weigh something with only the front 2 tires on the things.
