B17 oil pump question
I have a B17 that I am in the process of building. I want to be as thorough on the rebuild as possible. I'm having a little bit of trouble locating an oil pump from anywhere but the dealer, and they want $180. I can, however, find a B16 one for fairly cheap. My question is since the B17 is basically the same exact thing as a B16 just stroked, can I use a B16 oil pump?
I have searched and found a little bit of info on the subject, but I want to be sure. What I find so far is that the B16 pump has the crank sensor in it, and the B17 crank sensor is in the distributor. Also I have found that my lower timing cover won't work either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: B17 oil pump question
The B17 uses a 1.6 liter (b16) block. Just get one for a B16. And I know on the B18Cs, it's cheaper getting a OBD2 oil pump, the only difference is a threaded hole and a stud on the outside. Everything fits fine.
