Alright here's the deal. I talked to the referee and he said i would not be able to install my 00' B16A2 into my 94' hatch. I mean it is possible but id have to convert my car to obd2. Since this is the case i wanted to know is what are all the differences between the Del Sol b16 and the EM1 b16? The motor is legit and has it's tags, but do they really run the numbers? And when they do does anybody know if it shows the year/make/model/trim it came from?
I would like to run it as a del sol b16 if its at all possible...
Thanks and any help would be greatly appreciated!

For one, your referee that you are talking about, is a moron. For two, search. This swap has been done a million times.
Use the harness that matches your body harness. ie: You would need obd1 Civic engine harness preferebly a vtec harness to make your life easier.
Please search next time, there is a ton of write ups on here and google if you are that clueless on how to use the Honda-Tech search button.

oh sorry i didn't know the grammar **** was on the forums today. im pretty sure my questions were very straight forward: " i wanted to know is what are all the differences between the Del Sol b16 and the EM1 b16? 1) Who is they? 2) How am I supposed to know what you mean by "referee"?
Its not grammer your lacking, its knowledge about asking a question in a form that will get you a correct and elaborate answer.
As to answer your question, when going through emissions in my area (Marysville, WA) we've never had any issues with swaps. Especially anything pre obd2. They just put the exhaust sniffer on the tailpipe and check VIN number on the dash.
So if everything is in working order, you should pass in WA state. Dont know about where your from though.
Sincerely,

Criteria is simple
Motor has to be the same production year of the car or newer
OBD components on motor need to match that of the car
Evap canister and purge solenoid is a must
Cali does make it a little harder for folks to do their swaps...as long as you source the correct parts it should be fairly easy to get that sticker from the ref.
Makes me feel for you guys, I live in washington and live in a emissions exempt county...you literally register the car, get plates, and thats it.
