Heh.. you guys are also forgetting that you need a CTR crank and CTR rods (different stroke in the B18C block), destroking it to 1.6L in displacement. Almost easier to source out the entire shortblock than looking for the misc parts, especially the block internals.

Well, you can get similar (to CTR) power out of a B16A if the B16A is built well using the right parts.
Also the destroking present in a CTR block is one of the reasons it revs up high so well and is so strong.
Without the B16B bottom end you really ought to focus on setting up your B16A with the right parts to get similar power output as the B16B. High compression pistons, big cams, great tuning and a LSD tranny.
