B16A head same as a B18C5 head?
There the same casting number. I would rather have the B16 head just for the fact that its cheaper & really not that much diff. for the price.

Yes, and I have always heard that you can port a B16 head better than you can port a Type R head. May not be correct its just what I have heard

The two are the same cast, but the type r head has already been ported. If you plan on doing work to the head i would recommend buying a B16, the only reason i say this is because most good quality machine shops will not touch a type r head do to the fact that Honda has already ported it, and do not want to take the chance of screwing up the head.
