Re: b16a (KAMiN)
he means that it has 10 hp less than the SIRII (92-95), which is rated at 170 hp (168). The cable version of this, which is in the SIRI (88-91) Jspec cars are rated @ 160 hp (158). The SIRII for Japan has a slightly aggressive cam and slightly higher compression ratio also. The other thing is that their are actually two types of 88-91 b16a motors. 1 actually comes from the integ and the other comes from the civic and crx's. Depending on which one you get, the final drives are also different too and gearing (y1, s1, j1, ys1, and others with LSD, and their is also another cable tranny that comes with LSD that not too many know about). There are the 1 million-series motors and the 5-million series motors (which is the later b16's). Another B16 not mentioned was the Canadian spec b16 also. The actual differences are also in the tranny (gear ratio's, cable or hydro, and LSD), valve cover, cams, pistons, wiring harness, dist., mounts, and the material in the head- I'LL let you figure that one out. So if you do plan on doing a swap, it's best to get the motor from the same year of your vehicle. Hope that helped.
