b16 stumbles off idle & runs rough
We swapped out an Austin Mini engine with a B16 vtec. It starts good. sometimes hunts at idle and stumbles when you accelerate off idle. Seems like timing is off but the problem stays even after adjusting distributor. We suspect the vtec selonoids may not be working properly and have the valve timing off. Also idle doesn't settle downAny ideas?

Do you have any kind of diagnostic system hooked up? I would start there, the ecu will generally tell you what is wrong. Try installing fresh plugs. That might help.
