b series headstud question
i have heard that b16 arp headstuds are a little longer than gsr's. i have a gsr motor, and was wanting to know if any one has used b16 h.s. in it. i just had machine work done to my block and was about to reassemble. they resurfaced the block and head. and i was going to use a buddy club .5 mm headgasket. between what the machine shop took off the head and block plus the .5mm h.g. would that make up the difference in the headstuds. i have a set of b16 headstuds and it would save me $125 if i could use them instead of having to buy b18c1 headstuds. thanks for any info.

people tend not to answer when it is an easily searchable question.
but... B16 block is shorter than B18/20. by over 7mm. you cant make that up any way but getting the right bolts.

Re: b series headstud question
well the headstuds i have are definitely not 7mm shorter than my factory gsr headbolts. i bought them from someone off the marketplace and they told me they were b16 arp's(did not come w/box). i got these for a lsv that i was building. arp says use the headstuds for the head you have(gsr head use gsr HS/ b16 head use b16HS) on a ls vtec. isn't the ls and gsr blocks the same hieght? does that mean that b16 and gsr headbolt area's are diff hieght? guess i should measure my headstuds and check to make sure what they are for.
and just for the record i did search, for some reason i find it difficult to find the right info sometimes. maybe i am not using the search feature properly but i do search before asking. sometimes i find what i am looking for and sometimes i can't find it for $h!t, even though i know it has been disscussed. any insite or help with the "right" way to search would help.
