:?:AXELS FOR B16A SWAP IN CRX:?:
Hey Guys,
I have a 1990 Honda CRX Si that I recently swapped a B16A into. The thing is I have a busted AXEL I wanted to know what AXEL I should replace it with. I heard that the ACURA INTERGRA TYPE R Axels would fit. Does anyone know if this true? and if not which ones would work on this setup?? I would appreciate any replies on this post. Thank you for your help and I wish you all a Happy New Year.

Well there is more to it than just getting the 90 teg axle. If you have an S1 tranny then you can use the 90 Teg axle since the intermediate shaft is the same length. If you have a Y1 or a J1 tranny and intermediate shaft then you have a proble since they all have different intermediate shaft length.

I hope you have the S1 tranny.......

ok, like above you MUST check the hasport site, but if all of what you said is true then your app would be 86-89 teg axles with 90-93 inner CV boots - so you got to "hybridize" the axles in this way for proper fit.
do not run otherwise as this could be very dangerous to you!!!

If you do not have an intermediate shaft, you can either use the 90-93 5spd Integra axles with the corresponding intermediate shaft or the 94 up 5spd Integra axles with corresponding intermediate shaft. Or for that matter 94-97 Del Sol VTEC or 99-00 Civic Si.
The seal the intermediate shaft engages in the trans will need to be changed if you use other than the 90-93 Integra intermediate shaft.
