Default auto obd2a to obd1 questions,

sup, i need some help/advice on this one.

my friend asked me to tune his 98 automatic turbod D.

so i got a random obd2a to obd1 harness and its missing the AT related wires,

i looked at FFSQUAD and the missing wires on the obd2 side are:
connector C:
TMB (AT related to tcm)
ATP (park and N or clutch switch)
ATCHK (detects tcm signal)
AFSA (AT tcm related)
AFSB (AT tcm related)

connector A:
SLU (brake lock)

any one know how/where to wire them on the obd1 side?

thanks

So what are you trying to tune? Automatic what? What ecu are you trying to use? The standard harnesses do not work. I make the automagic ones, but need more info.

96+ auto trannys are a fair bit different than the older '92 - '95s electronically, so far as i can tell anyway, the old trannys had 2 solinoids, the 96+ have at least 3, its been a while since i've looked at one, but there are definately more solinoids, and i've got a strong suspicion that P28 isn't gonna be able to do anything with them either. Basically i think you might be SOL on this one. At the end of the day though it rarely makes any sense to put an automatic in a performance oriented civic.

Fosho. The P28 operates two sensors/solenoids and the rest are controlled thru linkages. The OBD2 d-civic uses all electronically controlled sensors/solenoids. You will not be able to run the OBD2 tranny/sensors/solenoids and use the P28 ecu as a plug in and go setup. I have built some harnesses for people who have tried to use an OBD1 auto LS ecu and TCM and used Crome to tune the car for the d-series setup.
