Is anyone rockin' a B20 in an EG hatch?
I was wondering what type of gas mileage you were seeing.
The D16 in my DD/beater is tired. I want to do a cheap swap, and figured a B20 would be the most fun without having to go to a VTEC motor that requires premium gas.

I'm trying to get some figures so I can make a decision.
A 2 mpg difference vs. a 10 mpg makes a decision easier.

if u want mpg with bigger motor it all depends on your tune. my friend has b20 with a ls trans and is getting like 25 mpg on a stock p75 ecu. I have a h22 with a ITR trans (H2B) and at 70 MPH i get about 27 MPG beacause i tuned it to run lean at high vac, I.E. low throttle input. My d15b gets like 22 for some reason.... high fuel pressure and big injectors maybe??not sure.

I get 28hi way dunno city but that's with stock pump 95 Civic Hatch b20z crower 403 head b16 cable trans with cable to hydro adaptor its tuned on a Dinan ECU. Want mpg do a d15z1 swap
For sure its the tune tho my 4dr hiway driving at 16.4 afrs on ls trans.
Gunna afc my eg and lean it out its my hiway vehicle can just turn correction off to haul ***. So if u want an afc would pay for itself in gas. Lol

my friend gets around 28-32mpg in his civic hb b20z with ls trans,he ran a 14.8 with just and intake and type r catback, its pretty praticle to drive daily and pulls hard in all gears, basically I like it,plus you dont have to rev sky high at high speeds

Slightly diff situation but i went from an ls to a gsr in my DA and went from 23-28ish mpg to 35-40 mpg. Yes, you will beat on the b20 more since it makes more power but, in general, a more powerful engine will require less rpm and fuel to get a vehicle of the same weight moving. You should gain mpg imo.
