Re: Any low 12 or high 11 sec daily drivers here? (FAST94GSR)
I'm planning on being in that range of 12's when I'm finished with my setup, and mine is still gonna be a daily driver.
D16Z6 block/head, golden eagle sleeves, JE 9.0:1c/r forged pistons, Eagle H bean rods, F-MAX turbo kit, Hondata Stage 4 ECU, lots of other goodies, but that is a basic run-down. I plan on putting somwhere between 10 and 18psi on a dail basis, and around 22 - 25psi on track day. I honestly think that this is wichfull thinking, but I am ogng to keep my head in the clouds until I sttart driving it around.

Re: Any low 12 or high 11 sec daily drivers here? (92CivicSiR)
Not what you are looking for maybe, but I had (have) a 91 Civic EX 4 dr. that had a built d16a turbo with a similar to RevHard setup that ran consistent 12.6-12.7 @111-112 mph and run at Capitol Raceway and MIR in MD. That was with a full interior and through the muffler. I really needed more tuning and ultimately did ring/piston damage so pulled the motor and now run a modded b16a that is a lot slower - 14.0's @ 96mph, but cold stone reliable and pulls 9100 rpm in 3rd going through the traps.
I have a Benson sleeved block, run Arias pistons & Crower rods, Fed-Mogul bearings, KG modded head with ss valves, old HKS mani, Deltagate (sucks - get HKS or Tial), AS Miller modded T3T4 hybrid turbo with R trim wheel and 0.63 A/R ratio for easy spooling. That turbo was the THE TRUTH, and would give me 15 psi boost by 3500 rpm. As fast as my b16a spins up, it would not spin up as fast as that turbo motor.
If you ever go to Pico Riviera (not too far from Pasadena,CA) look up Turbocharging which is the store run by AK Miller. He is an old dude, so don't know if still in business but he knows turbos better than prob anybody in the country and who Turbonetics got their start and advice from.
A lot more , but those were the basics. I will tell you from personal experience that tuning is EVERYTHING and most peeps do not know their *** from a hole in the ground about tuning in FI motors, so BEWARE!!! You don't have to pay attention or think you know better, but if so , be prepared to learn the hard way...
Good Luck, though...

Re: Any low 12 or high 11 sec daily drivers here? (Red Civic T)
well, I guess my hopes aren't too far off from what I can actually get out of this motor. I do plan on doing a lot of dyno tuning once I get the whole thing running and broke-in. If this motor has this much potential with proper tuning, then I know that I will have one of the fastest cars in town, not THE fastest, but one of.
When you ran those 12's whee you on slicks? What kind of WHP were you putting down?
I hope to be running faster than that considering once I get this setup completed and ready for some track time I plan to put the car on a serious diet to help with the ET's. I am having high hopes for this setup in my car.

Yea, on slicks. Not enough spring and crazy squat plus tire spin on launch anyway.Tuning is everything!!!
You know that "old" World's Fastest 1.5 ran a 10.21 @ 141 mph....

Sorry, whp was 287 @ 6400. Should have been easily able to get 60-70 more with the mechanicals, but tuning not good.

Re: Any low 12 or high 11 sec daily drivers here? (G3-TEG)
Well, basically like I said, I started with a Benson-sleeved block that I got cheap with blockguard and bored over .020, Crower rods , Arias 9.0:1 pistons, Fed Mogul bearings, ARP connectors, KG prepped P&P head with SS valves, WebCam cam, HKS turbo mani with Deltagate, Spearco air-to-air IC, HKS blow-off, RC 550 cc injectors, E-motive TEC II (had to fabricate TWO diff crank triggers and mounting devices), NOS fuel pump (inline) and FPR, custon downpipe, and exhaust, flow-thru (!!!!! home ported!!!!-aka hollowed). Lots of little things like shimming the oil pump for more pressure, guages , etc.

11.3s
Best was 11.27@128mph.
93 Civic EX coupe weighing 2750 w/ driver.
B18C1 9:1 Arias pistons, Eagle rods, C&R block guard
Drag gen. 2 turbo kit with bigger turbo and normal front mount (crap int. temp)
NOS plate system (set for 100shot)
Speedpro stand-alone (makes everything easy)
13" Lensos with some MTs
This was street driven everywhere; to shows, to work, to Joliet and Norwalk last year before we stole it's engine and built it for the race car.

Is it possible to have A/C with a turbo on a b18c in a hatch. I'd like to build something like that, its too damn hot here in Fla. If not maybe I'll just boost my teg.

That heavy EG coupe with full interior and a few subs would run 120mph and high 11s w/o nitrous. Yes, it was daily driven as long as the weather was nice enough. By the way, this isn't my car, this is the shopowner's car, and it donated the engine to the race car I crew for. DPR ported the head and it dyno'd 448whp turbo only at 20psi.
I can't really go into huge details on another friend's daily-driven 11sec Honda, but if you have the January 2001 Super Street, it's the red EK in there. It runs high 11s at 120-122mph with a turbo-only B18C1. I scanned the article onto my stupid site for those who want to look at it. There's also a video of him racing a Hayabusa, against which he fared quite well from a roll, but no one really believes the car is that fast, so I'm not going to say anything about the race b/c everyone argues. Regardless, it ran some high 11s at the first NHRA event down in Texas, too, for anyone who was there for that.

How much did his engine set up cost? Hell, id be happy running high 12s or even mid 13s.
Dont happen to have an estimate do you? Thanks. I want to try and build atleast a 13 second car..ATLEAST.

Turbo ZC 100% stock head and valvetrain 8.5:1 AEM wisco's, Crower rods, Turbonetics standard T3/T4ob turbo & deltagate WG, Mitsu Starion IC, Bosch inline pump, Cartech fpr, stock injectors, Mugen chipped 91 Si ecu and never tuned. best time was 11.9 @ 112mph at 15 psi w/spikes up to 20 psi.i know it could have been better cuz i have run a lot of low 12's with mph in the 115 to 117 but traction has been a problem only getting 1.8 60 ft times. currently rebuilding with JE pistons and some new parts: 310 RC's, ultralite flywheel, HKS cams gears. drove this set up for 2 years 30,000 miles street & strip. chassis is complete no lighting of the chassis. i removed the rear interior to make way for my rollbar, kinda of a even trade in weight.

Martin Marietta has a get together once a month , that is by Sand Lake Road. There is Sebring which is by Tampa. We're trying to organize an event in a few weeks. I had a get together Labor Day Weekend with a few guys from this board. It was cool, probably gonna have another one soon.
