Alternator belt won't fit my B17a!
I have a B17a in my 91 CRX. I am using the alternator from a 97 B18C1. I have the top bolt loosened, and the alternator is swiveled as close to the block as possible. I am using an aftermarket alternator belt, but it is too short. It is the pulley closest to the block correct? I have a 99-00 SI Honda alternator belt too, and that won't fit. All the belts are too short!
I am stumped

I am using an aftermarket belt for a B17a. Too short. I tried other belts, also too short. There is about another 1/2 inch or so before it can clear the alternator pulley. Help!

Just go to a parts store with the belt you have and have them match it up but give you a longer length, maybe 1/2"-1" longer. My friend has a JDM B18C with a JRSC and he had to do that when we changed to the upgrade pulleys. They have belts in a lot of different lengths so I'm sure you could get the one you need.

I went to the parts store and exchanged the B17a alternator belt for one that is an extra inch. Fits great!
