Default Which AEM CAI and how?

B18C1 in EG
Skunk2 intake manifold raised my throttle body, GS-R AEM CAI doesn't fit anymore, was told that the VTEC Del Sol AEM CAI fits right in. Is this true? No modifications to it are needed? Anyone have any experience with this?

It's not a new throttle body. The Skunk2 intake manifold just raised the existing throttle body as a Type R intake manifold would. I never had an AEM CAI to begin with. Any ideas?

If you want a perfect fit.

Use the 92-95 Civic EX intake

OR

93-97 delSol DOHC intake

BTW- They are both the same size exactly. 2.5" in diameter. The Sol is more expensive, and it's a 2pc unit. If you want the Sol one, just buy an EX and cut it.

The 99-2k SI one fits ok, fits through the factory hole, but if you have a neuspeed strut bar, it rubs. Oh, yea, it's 2.75" in diameter.

The LS is 2.5" in diameter, and it also fits, but not through the factory hole, and rubs the lower tranny mount.

The ITR is 3" in diameter, and it fits too, but usually rubs on the lower tranny mount and presses up against the overflow tank.

One more thing, so the 99-00 Si AEM CAI fits perfectly, except for the strut bar rubbing? No mods or anything?
