Icon6 99 si swaping block?

hi im looking at a 99 si right now with 34000 miles but i really was wondering if it is possible for any other high displacement blocks to just bolt in using the same engine mounts the and if i would be abble to drive it the hundred or so miles after to get a tune.. im thinking a b18c5 block... (friend has the block head on his car get it cheap!!!) the reason i am asking is because i wanna build up a bottom end with Loooowww compression for a supercharger but still be able to daily drive the car on the side and take the 6 hours to swap blocks.... and would the b16 head and stock tune beable to run it long enough and safe enough to get it to a decent dyno shop to be ran Na until i can afford SC ... and will the tranny match up to the new block?

im not new to cars just honda transplants use to focus on the chevy small block mainly for ***** out racing (late model) just a few questions all help and opinions are greatly appreciated thank you sorry for the long post
