99 Obd2 auto LS in 95 auto del sol
I recently put a complete motor and auto trans out of a 99 integra ls special in my auto 95 del sol S. I followed a write up on here for wiring in the auto tcm, but now i'm having some issues. The car runs fine, but it always shifts at around 2700 rpm. I can shift it manually but I only get 2, 3, and 4. And they aren't in the right place. Ex: shift manually to d1, trans goes into 2nd. D2 and d4 are 4th. And d3 is 3rd. Sometimes d1 starts to use 1st, but then goes immediately to 2nd. D4 uses all 4 gears as it should, but shifts at 2700 no matter how much throttle I use.
I'm using both obd1 ecu and tcm. My question is, could my shifting issue be because I'm using a tcm that was made for a cable overdrive trans on an electronic overdrive trans? if so, could I just swap to the correct obd2 tcm (because they use the same connectors). And continue to use the obd1 ecu? Or would I need to use a obd1-obd2a jumper harness and use the obd2 ecu also?

you need a tcm from the 94+ integra, they are all the same
also if you want, rywire makes the auto ecu conversion harness to run the integra ecu and tcm.
i have pretty much the same swap in my eg, 97 auto b18b1 in 94 civic lx

does your trans have the linear solenoid of front of trans? instead of the cable
and i miss read your first post hah sorry

Yes. It has the two solenoids on the top, like the 92-95 auto civic trans, and two more on the side near the front of the trans

ahh, i see,in obd1 and obd2a the ecu and tcm are seperate, in the obd2b integras they moved the tcm into the ecu so its all one piece like the civic ecu, and added the linear solenoid, which in your case is not hooked up causing your shift problems, and not causing a cel because its not looking for it.
your gonna have to call rywire and ask them to make a harness to run an obd2b auto integra engine and trans in an auto obd1 civic.
or swap the trans and throttle body from 94-98 integra cuz they use the throttle shift cable instead of the linear solenoid, and have the separate tcm
either way it will cost about the same amount, and the trans swap would be faster and easier, and what did you do for the trans mount bracket?

pooo...i was gonna say post up a pic of the ecu plugs and i could tell you if it was obd2a or obd2b.
but your shift problems are from that linear solenoid not being plugged it. swap the trans or call up rywire and see about there auto harness

Thats weird though, cause there aren't any extra wires coming from the engine harness. it has the same harness as in the how to.

thats normal, the b18 has the wires up to the harness plugs on the shock tower, but after that the civic harness dosen't have the wires for it

Would you mind checking something on your harness for me? on the top plug on the passenger shock tower, it should be a 10 wire plug, with only 9 wires on the civic side. I need to know if you have 9 or 10 wires on the engine side.

Mine has 10. But thats the only wire that doesn't have a mate. It's red. Also, theres a red wire coming from the solenoid on the side of the trans

if its the ones on the bottom of the trans near the frame its the shift control solenoids, and the one on top of the trans are the lock up control solenoids

yes, mine has both and on the back of the trans has the mainshaft and countershaft sensors....only difference between ours is mine has the shift cable and yours has the linear solenoid, they both serve the same purpose
