Default 98 USDM GSR w/ 98 JDM SiR-G ECU question

Should there be any problems if I use a 98 JDM SiR-G ECU (JDM GSR) on a 98 OBD2 USDM GSR? (motor is wired for OBD2) Are 98 JDM SiR-G ECU's OBD2? I've searched but couldn't find any real info. I've read that the IACV needs to be repinned. Anyone know anything?--- thanks for the help.
