93 del sol with a B series swap
I have a 93 del Sol S (d15b7). I am planning on swapping in a B18B, but my only concern is with the AC compressor. Will I be able to bolt my D15B7 compressor right up to the B18b block? If yes, could I just use the same belt?

Re: 93 del sol with a B series swap (riot)
Well, I put a B16 into an EG, and we used the P30 A/C bracket. The D15Z compressor only bolted up with 2 bolts to this bracket, but it seems to be good enough. A P54 A/C bracket is what you need to mount the compressor correctly, but it's ~$100...
We used a B18C A/C belt because we were using a B18C crank pulley. Just use a Delslo VTEC A/C belt and you'll be fine.

Interesting...but it CAN be done...just need to pick up a different AC bracket? Because I am NOT going to do the swap unless I can keep AC...this is TX...it's REQUIRED.

Sorry, this is my daily driver. My project car doesn't have AC...and never will. I'm not trying to run 11s in my del Sol...I just want to swap a lower mileage motor into it and retain AC. At the same time I don't want another D15b7...I wouldn't mind something that breaks the 100hp barrier.
Again. AC is a MUST for this car.

Yes, you can keep A/C. But you will need a Del Sol VTEC or JDM Civic SiR B-series A/C mount and belt. The D-series bracket will not bolt up at all...

I was talking about my daily driver. but yeah, A/C is a must in texas, I just learned to deal with sweating buckets since I don't have the cash to fix my ghetto-ness lol

Yeah, I used to go without it in my old cars...I would just never turn it on because I wasn't "as fast"...but then I realized I hated picking up a girl COVERED in sweat...or showing up to work just SOAKING...AC is there for a reason. Gotta use it.
