DELETE 92 VX B18C motor swap issue
OK, I have PM'd so many people and i thought i would post my questions here. I dont know what engine harness I have, i got the motor from a friend who did not know either. On the passanger side shock tower I have 2 plugs that dont line up. I have a pic I can email to someone. Its the body harness that does not line up to the motor harness. The car runs but is not fast like it should be. I just installed the motor and plugged everything in. I have not done any extra wiring. These did not plug in and i dont know if this is my problem or what. Also I have CEL on its the knock sensor. is that because the wires on the shock tower are not connected or do i have to wire it in? Please help. I have asked for help so many times and so many places i am about to just pull the motor and go back to stock. any help would be great. Thanks. sorry for such a long post.

Re: 92 VX B18C motor swap issue (92VXB18C)
You know ou only have yourself to blame for your problems. Research is your best friend!! If you searched here a while you would find the answers to all your issues.
First thing I will tell you is you dont need the box on the firewall of the VX since it is used to control the EGR valve on the VX motor. I just zip tied the plug there onto another set of wires.
Oh and you need to wire up the knock sensor to get rid of the CEL

Re: 92 VX B18C motor swap issue (chad)
You mean "proper sentences and grammer ARE your friend." I have edited my post to reflect better grammer, sentences and spelling. OK, I will keep looking at the posts, i did not see anything on these plugs that dont line up. The plug on the drivers side to the EGR I will just forget then. Thanks for that help. I was worried. I would post pics but i dont kow how. I will look up how to wire the Knock sensor. thanks.

Re: (92VXB18C)
you will have three plugs in front of the battery that will plug in together.
you will also have two or three on the other side by the brake booster that will plug in. if you don't have those, your doing something wrong. i have a gsr in my dx hatch, i have some plugs that i didn't use.
