Default 91 b16

well like i said b4 im new to this but when i went to pick up my motor i got motor tranny and the ecu(p30) i went home and put it in a 92 bubble everyone said i could use the stock wireing harness that was on the car which i figured was good because the b16 one was cut. so last night we went to start it and it wouldnt turn over i called a friend that is good with hondas and after trying a few things i guess he figured it was a 91 b16 i geuss there is a marking one the front of the motor by the header that says 91. is there any way for this to still work if so about how much am i looking at in the worst case?? theres a guy in my town that says he can blend the wires to work the original motor was a d15. does this sound like a good idea?? hes known for his work on hondas. thanx

So u're worried that the problem is the car is a 92 and the engine is a 91? I think the 91 engine is obd0 and the car is obd1 then, if that's the case just get a obd1-obd0 conversion harness. The problem about the car not starting bould be a bunch of things. Make sure ur grounds are all on there and tight, and make sure ur fuses are good and ur battery is charged. The engine not cranking over should be simple enough to fix, simple electrical issue of it not getting power.

No, dont convert down to obd-1 !!! That would be a downgrade. It doesnt matter that your engine is a 91 and ur car is a 92. All you have to do is get an obd1 distributor and make sure your using an obd1 b16 ecu. Remember, ALWAYS USE THE STOCK ENGINE HARNESS THAT CAME WITH YOUR CAR, NOT THE ONE THAT COMES WITH THE MOTOR THAT YOU BUY!
