Re: 87 Civic SI (BitterCivic)
i just traded my 91 sedan to my friend for this car, so i'm still learning EVERYTHING that's done to it, but this is what i know...
HASport mount kit and shift linkage
B20B block
B16a head
Zdyne ECU
Y1 sloppy *** tranny
ITR intake manifold w/SiRII bored throttle body
AEM intake (for 90-93 integra)
DC header 421
Catco high flow cat
custom piping with TenzoR muffler
MSD 6A with blaster coil
B&M fpr
and an ACT full disc clutch/pressure plate.
traction is a total BITCH. it spins all through 1st and 2nd if you get on it. but this car is soooooooooooooooo much fun, the power and torque it produces is literally insane. it can beat almost anything on the street.

Re: 87 Civic SI (HoMoCo FoLife)
hey do you have any pictures of your setup? what kind of problems did you encounter? isn't the engine comparment too small to fit in that particular engine? anything you had to modify? Would a complete GSR engine fit in the 87?? I am very interested in your setup. thanks!

Re: 87 Civic SI (accordfreak)
here's an earlier post with pics of the car. it's the black one.

regarding the size of the engine bay, it's small but no problems fitting the b-series. no mods were needed to close the hood or anything, but the eacv on the back of the intake manifold is less than an inch from the firewall and same goes for the distance between the header and radiator. the GSR block is like only 10-15mm taller than LS/CRV blocks, so you MAY have height/ground clearance issues.
hth, i'm still learning about the b-series differences myself.

The LS/CRV/GSR/ITR blocks are all the same height. The B16A block is about 3/8" shorter. Are you thinking about a VTEC versus Non VTEC head? I'm not sure of the difference between them.
