3rd gen swap options/opinions...
Hey guys...
As you may be able to tell from the username/sig, I'm a big 3rd gen fan... my 1st car was an '85 sedan, and I miss it like hell. I'd like to make its' memory live on one day by looking for a rust-free 3rd gen. sedan, and hybridding... or perhaps find a decent Wagovan and do the same
What swaps have people tried or seen in 3rd gens?

I have seen:
D16a1 from the 1st gen integras
ZC from the jdm civic/crx Si
b16a from the jdm civic/crx SiR and integra xsi
I have also heard of people swapping the b18a, b18c, and b20.
It really all depends on how much money you have. My list goes from cheapest to most expensive.

The relatively easy ones are the 1G Integra/1G ZC (basically the same motor) and B-motors. Of course, any swap can be done if you are willing to put forth the cash and effort. Just keep one thing in mind. Most 3G Civics (and 1G CRXs) are carbureted. And this complicates swaps. Only the SI is fuel injected. And if you go 3G SI, you lose the weight advantage of going 3G rather than 4G.
