2002 Si engine into an EK
i own a 96 civic HB...i have access to a rear end totaled '02 civic SI...the guy is giving me the engine for free if i want it.. what are the things I need to take along w/ the engine and what else would i need for this to be a successful swap to my EK....also, how much extra $$$ is it goin to cost me to put the engine in my car?
thanks
thanks
just sell it
take the money and put a GSR/LS/ B series in and turbocharge it. it will cost as much as putting the K in but will run CIRCLES around it.
the K series swap is still too far away to be worth it (cost and upgrades). maybe in another year or so it will be good.

Yeah, sounds more feasbile and less stressful. I will say it would be one bitchin swap, but still its new. Selling it could be a good idea.

Definitely get the engine and parts no matter what because it's free. You could turn a motor swap that won't work with your chassis into some cold hard $ that you could then use to buy one that will.

Unless you own a 01-03 Civic and get the HASport K series mount kit.
