1st gen B16a, will GSR tranny fit?
Do all B-series motors bolt up with B series trannys? Cause i am thinking about buying a GST transmission, but i want to be sure that it will fit my B16a motor, will there be any problem with this, or should it bolt right up. And i dont want to hear any posts about how i will lose acceleration from the longer GSR gearing, i already know that my S1 is geared much shorter, and that is part of the reason why i want a GSR trans, cause i do alot of highway driving.
Thanks
Tyler
Thanks

yeah all B-series will fit. I had a friend put a GSR tranny on a B16 in his integra. Yeah I know what your thinking "B16 in a integra???" It was his temp motor until he got his ITR before he got scammed
Since you have a B16 you should consider saving up for a S80 Tranny and getting the hasport cable-tranny conversion. Just a thought

Thanks alot for the info man, as far as your suggestion, i am on a somewhat limited budget, so probably a no go for any fancy trans, just need one that doesnt run really rough and grind third . Thanks for letting me know that the Btranses are swapable tho

Is this for that CRX in your sig?
You will need a cable version to work in your CRX. The hydro GSR transmissions 94-2001 would need to have hydro-cable conversion to work.
Hell it does not matter what year GSR trans....they are getting harder to find at a good price everyday.
Good luck

All B series trannys from the 90-01 Integra's, 99-00 Civic Si and 93-97 Del Sol VTEC and of course the JDM trannys will bolt up. There is an exception which is the older 88-91 B20 Prelude's which aren't interchangeable.

hey man if your having problems with grinding in 3rd you may want to consider replacing your tranny fluid with GM synchromesh friction modified and see how it reacts

If you look around carefully, you may be able to a 92-93 gsr tranny which is known as the YS1 which shares almost the same ratios as the late type R gearboxes, except no lsd. This tranny is cable and bolts right up with no need for a cable to hydrolic conversion. I found one a couple years ago from a salvage yard out in the middle of nowhere that had been sitting around for years. It had only 9000km's original on it, and set me back $850 Canadian.
One other thing, make sure if you get a ys1, its from a 92-93 gsr only. The ls,rs,gs models had a ys1 also, but much more relaxed gearing.
