counds like a good set up and I was actually considering this for daily driver. Transfer all of your old stuff on the b20 like the intake mani, t/b, all sensors, fuel injectors, distributer and it will be gravy. I dunno about the pcv though how that will work out since its different. I hope somebody chimes in on this and helps.

good luck.

easy, use the B20 PCV hose and cut to length and use the nipple for the PCV on the LS manifold.

Nope.

you will have to mod you ECT sensor wires cause the ECT sensor on your B18a is on the block and the B20 is on the thermostat housing. there a post I made on a other thread.

Now I just did a B20 into a gen2 teg. What I did was I used the thermostat housing off the B20 and spliced the integra ECT to the B20 one. It turns on a little hotter (like 4 degrees hotter) but it works.</TD></TR></TABLE>

If you have any questions, just ask.

Were you planning to use a 92-93 YS1 GSR cable tranny? If you plan on using a 94+ hydro GSR tranny, it's possible that the new HASport EF cable to hydro kit would let you do that but maybe not. You could reuse your current cable tranny also although the gearing wouldn't be as close as the GSR.

Here's a good reason why NOT to use the bloody 90 -93 ls intake mani...

If you can help it, don't get the usdm b20b. Get a jdm b20b with the low rise ls style intake mani (like in the pic). The '90 mani there was a joke on the b20 compared to the b20 one, in the midrange. also a 2mm difference in TB dia.

The electrical thingies to change were to extend the thermosensor switch wire from the back of the ls block to the new location on the thermostat housing. I also had to extrend the map connector wire from my firewall map sensor location to the new b20 throttle body location

Here my album of my swap, showing all the differences i encountered.

I did a more extensive write up on G2ic.com. Search for "b20 swap guide"

Yes those are some good pics to show the smaller ports on the 90-93 B18A1 manifold. I would also like to note that using the 94-95 B18B1 manifold is also an option, something that many people use.

yes i believe that my b20 mani and the '94+ ls ones are the same dimentionally.

if you get the ls mani, make sure you get the TB too, bigger bore and you'll be able to keep an IACV (sp?) which you would lose using the '90 t-body.

Also, the unproven believe is that the jdm low rise mani engines '96-98 have a 9.2:1 cr engine thanks to a 2 layer head gasket.
