Re: Check Out (JDM_CRX_PLEASE)
just to add a tip...if u guys dont wanna run ugly lookn wires all the way to the tranny for the reverse lights u can find those same wires on the 14 pin engine harness plug on the driverside..if yur usdm that is...reason i did this is because i did a wire-tuck harness and didnt wana place any more wires in the bay..its #12 (yellow) and # 13 (green/black) on the plug..
btw this is for a eg/dc..not sure if its different for 96-00 civic chassis but shouldn't be..

The pics need to be hosted with a different server, as they are not showing.
About to do this on a 98 EX I'm picking up. Good to have some hindsight on the situation

Re: (justinCO)
It looks like a B series but i need to see the bushing from this picture. Is it a big hole (like you could stick your thumb or 2 fingers in) or is it a small hole (like only a pinky barely fits)
Big hole = B series, small hole = D
Big hole = B series, small hole = D

Great Thread. One of the easiest-to-follow writeups that I've had the pleasure of reading! But I'm still a little confused about one thing... If doing a GSR Swap at the same time, does the IACV rewiring also hookup the secondary butterflies for the new motor? Or do I still need to run that wire seperately? Thanks...

Hey, thanks for a quick reply! But for the secondary butterflies to even work in a civic, the IACV rewiring has to be done so that the ECU "sees" the IAC signal, right?

IAC and IAB are nothing to do with each other. I think your getting confused because of the "IA" in there names. But its Idle, Air Control Vavle and Intake Air Bypass Valve. Really they have nothing to do with each other.
IAC = controls idle
IAB = opens secondary for more hp in mid to top RPM range, while giving more torque to low range power.
If that doesnt help feel free to PM me and i could try to explain it a little better. But just remember they have nothing to do with each other. No IAC - IAB will work, no IAB - IAC will work as long as there hooked up correctly.

Re: (EKIM NART)
What engine harness and ecu you plan on running?
Auto harness with manual ecu = yes
Auto harness with auto ecu = no (dumb to do)
manual harness with manual ecu = no
manual harness with auto ecu = Yes but you need to do it backwards (which is dumb)
