Default "Leave the motorswaps to the Professionals"

Well after a 2 month headache I said F*** it, I am getting my car worked on by the pros. I did a motorswap in front of my townhouse. The actual swap only took about a week and a half becasue of the delays on mounts, school and work. I got the car running and all wired up but I had a check engine light. I jacked the wiring harness up beyond belief trying to get rid of these codes to the point of where I need a new harness. I had code 74 misfire in cylinder number 4. I got my car towed to Inlinepro in VA and they hooked the car up with the works in a day. Got rid of all the bugs. Gave me a new harness and ecu beacuse mine was fried. I have know these guys for a while so they helped me out. The actualy labor of a motor swap is easy as pie. But after all the costs of my swap, all the little things and the wiring and all this bull I have decided to "Leave the motorswaps to the Professionals".

Inlinepro is the greatest

Don't say that!

I am starting my swap this weekend. There aren't any shops around here, so I am screwed if I I'm gay it up.

buy a helms and you should be ok doing a swap. thats what i used when i did mine. after i did my swap i felt a better appreciation for my car. and its good experience. if something goes wrong down the line i can easly find out what is wrong because i know my engine so well because i have had to study the helms. wiring is the worst thing to work with in my opinion. way to messy. but you wont learn unless you try it.

The swap is easy, if you can install a car radio, you can wire a Honda. The helms is a must.

Which helms do you need? The 96-00 Civic service manual?

You would need a helms for the car the motor is going into, and one for the car the motor came out of( or at least it couldn't hurt ).
