Default yet another offset question...

i apologizing for posting this as it is but i need some help here... i cant decide on what the hell a good offset/rim width is acceptable for my car... Ill be lowering it on the sprint mach springs on stock shocks this weekend and will be upgrading to a bigger/sexier rim... the ones in question are a 18x7.5 +42 and 18x9 +38... will i need to roll the rears? im guessing yes, but is it doable? i used an offset calculator and it said that the outer position would be extended by 31mm... roughly 1.22" seriously dont know is thats too much or what not... please help... thanks...

PS ohh and i plan on running 225's in the front and 255's in the back... thanks again

yes it will fit.. with teh 255's u will need to run more camber along with rolling the fenders... with the 245 you wont need as much camber...

thanks santos... i looked at the tires and they only come in sizes 245 and 265 for the rears... really didnt want to run 245's on a 9inch rim though... the reason for the bigger rim is to run bigger tires...

now for the additional noob questions... can i adjust my camber myself or should i take it to a shop... also with addition camber will the tires wear unevenly or faster... please excuse my lack of knowledge in the wheels and tire field as im still learning... thanks again

well a 245 tire on a 9" rim will vary from tire to tire.... some will have a slight starch others wont.... but a 245 on a 9" rim is just right!!!!

also unless you have the right equipment and know a thing or 2 about camber/caster and Toe and how it effects how your car handles and how it relates to your driving style leave it to professionals...
