What do i ask?
Well, i found an s2000, its fairly cheap, asking 13.5k, it has a salveged title do to theft of the interior, which doesnt matter to me, and it has 82k miles on it, its a 2002 model, what will i need to look out for, are things like the clutch going to start needing replacmnet? when i call him, what specifically should i askabout the car? the whole interior has been replaced with oem stuff, thanks.

yea, he said it was freeway miles, i found another salvage, black on black, 2003 model year, only 14k miles, so i emailed that guy, i really don't find if its salveged, at least it wasnt in an accident.

does it have a top that works with no theft-holes? are seats back in it? or will they be replaced by you? lots of uncertainty. if you don't have the dough for a few grand more for a clean slate to work with, then you might not have enough for uncertain repairs on this one. for instance, I am 99% sure they have the wrong tires on there, esp if they were highway miles. count on an alignment job as well. save the dollars if you can on something you feel comfortable with - mentally and financially.
yea, he said that everything that has been stolen was replaced with OEM parts, what tires should i look for in an s2000, i did find an 03 with 14k miles, salvage due to interior theft, but the mileage is a lot better
I still find it odd that they totaled the car for just some interior theft. There had to be some other things that added up to completely total it.
Also, youll have a lot of problems selling a salvaged car in the future if you ever get rid of it.
Oh and I still think there asking way to much for it.

Not a good deal, pass on it. I understand you may be excited about getting an S2000, but think it through and don't make a decision based on emotion/excitement. You can find a better deal/car.
thanks for the replies, according to my insurence, the slavage title thing would not be an issue, and i have realized that the one with nearly 90k miles is a little over riced, but what would you guys think about an 03 with 14k miles? salveged, im hoping i can get him to around 12.5k-ish
they will make a vehicle salvage title if they steal the interior... i have seen them in auctions... on the plus side it being an 02 at least has rear glass and a little better ecu... but over 80k is pretty crazy. i dont think you can get the 03 for that price... unless its crashed or missing a whole bunch of parts...
You should have a little patience and save a little more to buy a clean title S2000, the insurance will tell you whatever you want to hear so that you open a policy with them, and the insurance isnt the problem you need to think about, its the resell in the future, NOBODY wants to be fair amounts for salvaged title cars...trust me, i had a clean title CL-S that just had a manufacturers buy back on it which was fixed BY the dealer and cleared...it was still a pain in the *** trying to sell that car so i just ended up trading it and taking alittle bit of a loss.
Impatience is going to lead to you biting off more than you can chew im assuming in this situation, but if your heart set on getting it, go for it...we're just trying to give you some free friendly advice, take it or leave it...my opinion, save for alittle while longer and get yourself a clean titled one that you dont have to worry about at all...

why dont you just hold out for another month or 2/3 and buy a clean titled one??
atleast take all of our suggestions into consideration, but if you are set on a salvaged car, its up to you its your money!
i guess either way you'd own a s2k and be happy?

yea, i think waiting would be the best thing, as these cars don't seem to be moving to quickly, i would wait, but i do not make enough to get a clean title in just a few months, this is just with money i have saved over a long time, at least with the salveged title type r's, they seem to be a little more afordable, i guess ill just wait..
