weird sound under de-acceleration.
when I let go of the gas completely in my car and don't put the clutch there is a weird rattle noise that comes near the lower RPMs. It sounds to me a lot like an exhaust rattle but I can't find any loose heat shields or anything... car is a 2001.. anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be

No it got worse. LOL. I never really did have the clutch buzz or nothing major anyways. But then again, I was running a single 70mm exhaust the whole time so ... but once I changed my setup to handle the additional power. The buzz got really bad. And it doesn't really help that the transmission is practically sitting next to you in the car. You get more intimate with your transmission housing than the girl sitting in your passenger seat.

yea mine is really loud with the spoon n1. i wonder if the tsb helps at all
Are all existing S2000 TSBs posted in the Service Bulletin section of the Library? If not, maybe we can make this thread useful for everyone and post every TSB with their 1) number, 2) description of problem, and 3) what model years to which they apply and then perhaps archive this information in the Library. I did a search and I couldn't find any such comprehensive thread. I'll start with the ones contained in the Library.
1) TSB 00-054 / Buzzing from the Engine or Transmission While Decelerating / MY 2000
2) TSB 00-055 / Grinding When Shifting into 2nd Gear / MY 2000
3) TSB 00-020 / Safety Recall: S2000 Convertible Top Cover / MY 2000
4) TSB 83 / Leaky Air Conditioner / MY 2000
5) TSB 00-038 / Wind Noise or Rattle at the Convertible Top / MY 2000

clutch buzzz.. hmmm well it sounds to me like a lot of the s2000's have it and that its not really a major problem mostly just annoying... is there any way to get rid of it?

buy a newer s2, like an 02+... it doesnt do any damage, its just like if you have a rattling exhaust. no biggie

Re: (Black S2K)
haha alright.. no even after a few days i don't really mind it much... its just hard to get used to the fact that a sound like that dosn't mean my car is not about to destroy itself.
