Left out of work today and when i got on the highway i punched first and right when vtec kicks in the car just jolts and never switches over. I shift to second and about a mile later at a redlight I punch first again and everything is fine. I dunno what's going on. It's the second time it's happened. One guy said it might not have the oil pressure build up enough to switch to vtec. Ever happened to anyone else?

please let the car warm up to operating temperature before beating the hell out of it.

change oil is first step.

 

yea i noticed that if the car is cold it cuts out at about 6k. fine by me.
