Hello to everyone!!

Everytime I'm about to get going in my S, When it goes down in REV's the engine or the stock exhaust system starts rumbling and vibrating. It's normal or not??? Or do you guys/girls think I should take a care of it???

 

more details? it could be your engine going into full engine braking

 

clutch disc?

 

sounds like the usual clutch disk problem...what year is it?

mines an '00 and does it all the time...i've gotten use to it...its nothing major and doesnt really harm anything from what others have told me...more of a.....annoyance factor.

****... the disc springs could come off the disc and could be free balling in the bell housing. if seen it in a few s2ks

 

Most likely a clutch disk problem if your s is an earlier model. if it is it will sound like a heat shield rattle between 4k down to 3k. It doesn't really harm anything but it is annoying as hell. I actually just got mine fixed in my01, since mine is 4 years old the didn't have to fix it but the ended up doing a good will service. So basically I got a brand new clutch and flywheel for nothing. Call the dealer see what they can do, if they value your business or their rep then they will fix it.

 

yea i have that heat shield rattle sound as well not to bad though waiting for the clutch to day so i can just replace it
