Ultimate S2000
If you are serious about this I would contact the guys at Fullrace.... They can build your engine and install a FR turbo kit for you.... 500 HP should be no problem...rumors has it they are also in the middle of R&D ing a stringer rear drive train..................
**** going ellis one i just traded in my 400 horse 00 camaro ss for a s2k camaros have shitty rearends and trannys if u go auto ne ways that cant handle over 430-450 horsepower and handle like a ******* retard
Theres nothing wrong with a 500 hp s2000 if u wanna spend over 20K guaranteed i myself have a s2k i know the 00-03 compressions r high and not turbo friendly the owners i know that r turbo have blown several engine b4 actually spending over 14000 in 1 case so the engine will not blow. the 04 have lower compressions due to the fact honda increased the torque in them so it might be a lil better but dont be surprise if it does blow.
Good Luck

The compression isn't that much lower in the 04. It's still 11.1 to 1

And the compression is not lower due to the fact of more torque...the engine design determines compression

Its not about 550 HP. If you are looking for that kind of power go buy a Viper or a Dodge RT/10 pickup truck. Read the Car and Driver report on "Blow Dryers" which the S2000 won in 2003 hands down as a purist sports car. If you are looking for a great sports car, buy and S2000. You can do tons of mods to a S2000 and get up to 350 HP no problem. By the way in the test, the 350Z was second and the Audi TT was last (5th place). I would not have either one of those cars in replacement of my 2003 grand prix white S2000. Plus an S2K is only about $33,600.00 sticker. Compare prices, compare specs, then decide.
if you were really capable of pulling off such a project, you wouldnt have to ask 'whats best' There is alot of tuning that you need when getting to the 500 threshold.
go out and get a domestic... they're more for gearheads, as opposed to true tuners.

.. but it can be done... he's done a lot to it tho. </TD></TR></TABLE>
This is Alex's car...The engine that produced the 500+whp was recently compromised, but thats another story. We built him a new engine designed by us and Justice racing engines which now produces 450+whp on 15psi and pump gas and he drives it several days a week and to some of the car shows he goes to also. We are letting him drive it a couple thousand miles before we see how well the engine produces power up to 35psi and race gas. Our goal is to raise the bar way past 650whp.....
If your really serious about making 450whp+ on pump gas be ready to spend atleast 15K on the engine setup alone, none of the body kit/wheel/suspension stuff....
There is alot more to the S motor than sleeving/rods/pistons and valve train...
