Does anyone have any preferences in what type of trans and diff. to use in an ap1 with about 450HP

 

Honda mtf for the trans, and i have yet to find a diff fluid that i like

 

i didn't know hp numbers mattered for trans and diff.

trans - honda mtf improved formula. i don't know what was in my car before (probably the older OEM honda mtf) but the new one improved the shift feel eleventy billion times. there's still some slight notchiness during cold starts in the morning; but once it warms up, it's butter.

diff - mobil1 75w90. i don't see any difference. previous diff fluid i had in the car when i bought it seemed like royal purple (cause it was colored purple) lol. whatever you do, DON'T BUY DIFFERENTIAL FLUID FROM YOUR HONDA DEALER. the guy might give you honda's VTM-4 diff fluid, which is for the CRV and 4WD pilot. it'll destroy your diff. srsly.

I prefer PPG gears, and a Nissan R200 rear diff.
