Default toda stroker kit

just did a search didn't see anything. does anyone have this stroker kit, or another kit you would recomend? or know anyone with it. we are going to purchase this kit and build it as low compression b/c we are running the comptech supercharger. we are shooting for 400 rw hp and some torque.thanks for any suggestions.

We'll talk about it this week. Things to think about.

1. His current se-up has a 1.8x rod-stroke ratio which allows high-end breathing and minimal side-loading. The Toda kit would drastically alter this! We can calculate the geometry to determine the new r/s if you can get the Toda specs for me this week.

2. At $3300 for the Today minus pistons, why not just just buy a '04 2.2L block and sell his old one to recoup cost. Since it is 11.1 compression, just add a thicker gasket to drop the compression a bit. Remember that the reduced r/s would require him to think about his rev limiter. Extra stress on OE bolts may be the limiter in this situation.

3. If he doesn't daily drive the car, why not just get is the current block sleeved and overbored to 2.2 or bigger. You could then retain the better r/s and have the best FI platform. Figure $1G to sleeve, $1G pistons/rods/bearings, plus Ken's labor.

Ack would you be using low comp piston's and just the rods / crank from the Toda kit? I ask because off the top of my head I do believe the Toda stroker is running 12.3:1 compression pistons I wouldn't choose to boost that setup myself. I agree with the above though, why not go with '04 spec rods / crank and some low comp. pistons so you can up the boost?

I believe a thicker head gasket to drop compression was mentioned too, but won't this put undue stress on the timing chain? (just a thought)

the kit can be bought with or without the 13.0:1 comp pistons...so you can buy the kit and add your own custom low comp pistons
