thinking of getting an s2000
camuman i see what your saying but i see alot of s2000 driving through snow all throught s2ki and they dont seem to have any problems that claim they dont have? just .02 and btw i just want him ti get the s!!!
i'm actually a big outdoors person and i often go hunting and camping from time to time. winter has been hard in southern wisconsin. my brother has a 06 tundra and i drove it last winter because my beater died and i love it. prices have dropped to where i can afford a decent one with low milages if i look hard enough. i'm always borrowing the truck and i thought of getting one. i don't know about driving an s2000 in winter here, i don't even drive my teg once it is cold.

you can't drive it cold with the stock tire
you can't drive it with the chain
you can't drive it in the snow because it's way too low
you can't take it off road/hunting with no torque since it will get stuck
sounds like you need a ridgeline, tundra or a nice f350
The decision is between the S2000 and a tundra?!!
I was wondering what to wear today. I could either wear my gorilla suit or my tuxedo. I know the tuxedo is impractical...but the gorilla suit gets fake hair in my nose and mouth so I have to wear a doctor's mask. What kind of seafood should I get also....
You obviously don't need a Tundra since your other choice would be a totally impractical car. I'm going to guess that the only thing you'll actually use the Tundra for is to try to make your 2'' ***** look like a 12'' *****?
Do you haul stuff? Do you tow stuff? Are you a construction worker? Do you offroad often? If not....why the hell would you buy a truck?

B serious.. you know whats up. Thanks for coming in and clearing this up.
I've moved to CA now and in the central coast there are so many punks whos parents bought them a v8 truck that all the do is tool around in it on the street. And you were unusually nice for h-t to this guy here who didn't catch the sarcasm, I must say. And also, in actual tough winters, like in new england, nobody drives s2000s in the snow. Twitchy RWD cars with on/off powerbands do not belong in the snow. Don't suggest he drive an s2000 in the snow if you haven't tried it! Only the actual OG's who do it should suggest that craziness. lol.
And btw, I'd prefer this guy NOT get an s2000. If you have to ask this question, your priorities and motives simply don't line up with the passionate automotive purist target market of these cars! These were meant for people who like to hit backroads(curvy ones), autocross or do track events! Sorry but I just can't stand how the intentions honda had for this car go right over peoples heads!

There are train tracks that I'd cross every day that I would take at 50mph in my stock ride height Si. They honestly weren't that bad. The car barely bounced or made any noise. More often than not, if the traffic was backed up at that crossing, you could look forward and see some jagbag in a SUV going over the tracks at 5mph.
There are speed bumps in front of my work. Cars go at a normal clip of speed across them. They're not that bad. It's always a SUV/truck that is going across them at negative 2 mph.
I saw a jacked up jeep driving in front of me. He took off from a stop sign and then STOPPED for a bump...then crawled over it. If I went over the bump in my lowered S2000, I would barely feel it.
Automotive manufacturers know this. SUVs get less and less rugged as their generations go on. They become pretty much like large cars. Trucks come with all kinds of garbage that you wouldn't need in a utility vehicle.
I also can't figure out the math in that if two adults and their national average of 2.5 kids go out to drive....why do they need a vehicle that seats 8?
To top it off...they all drive like MORONS!! I was staggered in FRONT of a Chevy Envoy once and they almost merged into me twice trying to change lanes. You'd figure that it would happen only if you were in their blind spot. However...the whole road becomes a blind spot to soccer moms that get on the phone behind their grocery getting tanks.
There's other ways than buying a way-too-large-for-you vehicle to make up for your other shortcomings whether it be baldness, small *****, bad childhood, bad job, etc. etc.
End rant. SUVs/trucks suck.
OP: Is there a reason why a V6 truck wouldn't meet your hunting/fishing/towing requirements? Or would it just not meet your ego requirements?

you mind as well get the tundra the s2000 won't be your best bet in the winter
and plus you say you like to go outdoors i say you stick with the integra and get a tundra

I can agree. I think that most people that have SUVs/Trucks treat them like jacked up station wagons or like cars anyway. They just bought them for vanity. It makes me roll my eyes and shake my head whenever I see trucks/SUVs slow to a crawl for even miniscule speed bumps or road imperfections.

S2000 is fine in the snow, just get the correct tires.
And Sarosh (Bserry), everyone who drives a truck could say sports cars are driven by people with egos to satisfy
.
After I graduate in May my daily driver will be an F250 diesel. The roads around here are going to be DESTROYED after this winter with the constant up and down temperatures. I nearly lost my s2000 in a pot hole today. I will be surprised if I still have my J's diffuser after winter. LOL

My ego doesn't even fit in my S2000, Nick.
I can't believe you're driving your S2000 in the winter though lol. I'm not saying I'd never own a truck (although I probably won't)...I'm just saying that if I did, I'd use and abuse the hell out of it. People couldn't really say I'm just using my S2000 as an ego car. I use and abuse the hell out of that thing too.
I own a S2000. It sees the track a lot.
If I owned a truck..it would be full of mud and sticks all the time and I'd use it to smash over bumps and tow stuff.
I'm just against being a *****.
My S2000's also gotta look nice so my ego looks good.
