Insurance varies from age, location, and driving record
Gas also depends on where you live. If you live in So cal gas is running around 2.40 for premium so you do the math on that.
Maintenance you really don't have to worry if you're buying a new car.

is the insurance outrageous likt the type R or is it just like any other 2 door sports car like the CRX or something of that nature? Obviously it will be higher than a crx due to the age but it wouldnt be some ungodly amount like $650 a month right?

the insurance on the type-r is usually higher then the S because of the high theft rate of the type-r...

Im paying $120/month for full coverage with pretty much all the higher medical stuff in the policy and a $250 deductible...im also almost 25, havent had an accident or speeding ticket on my record since i was 17, and live in Georgia, also have my home owners insurance and my CL with the same company (Geico) and its been great...actually had to use the home owners portion a few months back and the turn around was a couple of days...hopefully we'll never have to see what it is with the cars.

But yes, it is very much so dependent on your own driving record, location, age, and whether or not you've had insurance in your own name before, newbie's to insurance companies usually get a higher rate because they have nothing to go on as far as tickets or accidents...especially on people under 21 years of age.

If your only bringing in $3,500/month though, make really damn sure an S2000 is what you want to spend your cash on, your payments even with a pretty substantial downpayment are going to be fairly high, and even more so depending on what interest rate you get on it...your looking at roughly $900/week, and insurance combined with car payment is probobly gonna eat up alot of that...its a nice car, but i dont know if id want it for a daily driver myself.
