Thinking about getting a S2000
So, to begin my thread I will start by saying that ever since the S2000's release
I have wanted to have unrelenting sex with it and then again for sloppy seconds.
Heck, i would just take someone's sloppy seconds... But I digress.
I currently own a 92 Prelude and a 92 Civic Hatch.
I have special feelings towards the Prelude and would like to keep it in hopes it can become something special...
But I really don't have many feelings towards the civic. Don't get me wrong...
its funish to drive and the potential to build is never ending.
But...that brings me back to my original thought...and that would be.
Should I sell the civic and buy a S2000?
The reason I ask this is a few of your guys have owned both a civic and the S2000 and I was just curious of you guys input.

It's up to you. I don't regret selling my civic to get mine.
Although sometimes I wish I had bought something else, but I don't regret selling my civic.

Re: Thinking about getting a S2000
Sorry, I didn't mean to annoy anyone with another thread of the same kind.
I did a search but didn't exactly know WHAT to put in the search box to search for,
and looked through all 40 something pages that I saw and didn't see anything directly relating to my question.
I have been going to other S2000 forums and have been reading other threads such as the guy wanting to sell his to get the Evo.
But that's a little different that my question...which looking back I guess I could have worded less.
I really just want to know if anyone regrets going to a S2000 from a Civic.
I know that might be a stupid question for you guys who own one.

I never understood these kinds of threads. I don't own a civic and I don't own a S2000 (yet) but I can say that it would come down to how attached YOU are to YOUR car. No one but you is going to be able to tell you how you're going to feel once you sell the civic (I hope that makes sense).
As bad as I want to get a AP2, I know that if I sell my prelude I would miss it and regret it. So until I'm finished with this project or save up enough to buy a S2k as a 2nd car I won't be getting one.

I was really just looking for guidance from guys who have already own a S2000 and have driven other cars. You have something to compare since you have owned at least the S2000.
I really didn't mean to make a pointless thread...I just really wanted some of you guys opinions. And I am not really looking to make it the fastest thing on 4 wheels. Just a lot of fun and fairly quick.

Re: Thinking about getting a S2000
the s2000 has more ultimate potential than the civic.
the civic can be hella fast with a swap, but in the long run, the s2000 is faster around a race track and can be even faster if you invest a ton of money.
the civic eventually reaches a point where it really cant get any faster, where the s2000 has a much higher limit for mods and ends up being a faster car in the end.
you will never see a civic clocking a 1:46 at buttonwillow, like the cwest BC s2000. just my .02

if you're looking into getting a s2k because its cool and it was in FnF...then you would be purchasing for wrong reasons. Like most you'll want to throw an exhaust on it, but just know before purchasing the s2000 its not cheap to mod and won't see huge hp gains without FI or stroker kit. my dam shift **** cost me $125

Re: Thinking about getting a S2000
kinda have to disagree. a k swapped civic/integra has more potential and will walk on s2k in most circumstances.

like i said. You will never see a civic hatch run buttonwillow as fast as the turbo cwest BC s2000.
the civic with a swap is def faster than an s2000 is NA, in a straight line...
comparing straight line only is ****ing pointless though

Second...I appologize for my last comment. I love you...<3
Third... Seriously thinks for the input. I realize its not a cheap modder...but I seriously just think its sex on wheels. Its one of the prettiest cars Honda has made IMO. There is where I run into some of my issues. I don't want the car to be slow...but then again...I don't really race much to begin with.
And I am DEFFINITLY NOT "baller status"... So there is no way I think I could be throwing tons and tons of money into the car right off the bat. It might be a slow build...but I would also be building the prelude (Which I have special plans for).
Ugh, choices.

Re: Thinking about getting a S2000
I kind of regret selling one of my civics...but am 100% HAPPY with my S2000 purchase. So the regret and the S2000 purchase are two different entries. So now I have an EM1 and a S2000. Why would you regret selling a civic for a S2000 anyway? Well....unless you're hard parking or drag racing.
