i'll have 12.5k in hand once my car sells and i can't decide if i want to get an s2000 or an ls1 f body... about how many miles should an s2000 worth 12.5k have and why should i get an s2000 over an ls1... thanks in advance

 

12.5k wofor an s2k is possible but hard to find one with under 100k miles and in good condition. a f body you can find cheap as **** these days. If you want a car that can take turns fast, fun to drive, small, and topless than go with the s2k. f bodies are big and handle pretty bad unless you invest a lot into suspension and ****. solid rear axle ftl should you decide to get an f body, i would say get a trans am ws6...it is the only uncommon ls1 car out there. camaros are too common and every redneck and their cousin has one.

my recommendation is to test drive both...

 

get the ls and call it a day

s2k > LS1 IMO, but I'm biased

 

LS1 s2k / thread

 

Saying your gonna get an LS1 or s2000 is like saying your gonna buy a Lotus or Ferrari . The only thing the ls1 and s2000 share is they are around the same price and being RWD. I dont see why people ask this question 20 times a day when they could go test drive both and find out for them selfs what one is better for them. Both cars have pros and cons just figure out what you are willing to live with.

 

go test drive both...then make up your own damn mind

 

buy a WS6

I sold my WS6 Formula Firebird and bought an S2000. The S2000 is a million (X) better daily then the WS6 will ever be. The WS6 sucks on gas, turns, and well honestly.... it just sucks on everything other then driving in a straight line. And let's face it, it doesn't look near as good.

Go buy an S2000 , or buy a WS6 and next year when your sick of driving in a straight line, trade it in on an S2000.

Pretty much sums up every reason why you would want an S2000 over a WS6 or SS Camaro.

I'm a huge fan of the WS6's, always wanted one...but to be fair, I would never trade my S for one.

Why? They may be quick, but they're kinda ugly, the interior is no nicer than an astro van, they chug gas, and they corner like an angry rhino.

S2000 is such a more fun experience than just in a straight line...the car may not be near as fast as a stock LSx motor...but it's decently quick, and way more fun to drive.

But if you are a larger person, I would reccomend the WS6 over the S. The S2000 isn't big person friendly, although there have been some pretty big guys on here that own one, and daily drive it.

How much do you and your man ***** weigh? The S2000 has a 400lb max load capacity. All that weight on the drivers side and you'll be riding around on two wheels like the Flintstones at the drivethru.
