anyways, i think i found the right upper mounts.
does anybody else want to confirm that the AP, DC, EK, and EG all have the same mounting point specs for upper pillow mounts?
if anybody is interested i posted the part # for the upper mounts i got on s2ki. it is exactly the same part # for the dc2r.

i dont know what the ideal situation is. and does the graph show that this suspension is worth the money.
i had tein ss on my old civic and they werent all that they were cracked up to be.

what kind of perforamnce did u expect from them? did u compare them to a diferent type of suspension and thats why ur disapointed?

are you asking cause youre defending them or is that a direct question
when i bougth them i was hoping to have decent streetable suspension that would help the car to handle good enough for autocross.
i never really got them dialed in right, but even still the springs were too soft. i did like the fact that i could adjust the damping force, sixteen different ways but they bottomed out a lot. i had it lowered with plenty of room to go.
dont get me wrong it handled ok just not 1000 dollars worth.
if i had to do it all over again i would have gotten some tociko shocks and some stiff eibach springs.
i think that adjustable suspension is a dangerous thing in the hands of an amatuer.
with the s i want really good suspension adn i think that i will have it professionally tuned. i know what roll ecnter and a bunch of other terms mean, but i want someone who nows how to calculate these factors to adjust everything.
also, i am not nocking tein, the quality was top notch, and the dampers themselves were not bad, but the springs were just too damn soft. now keep in mind i had no sway bars and crappy bushings to boot.
when i would make quick lane changes on the highway it would get scary.
i raced a 350z one time (in my civic) and i was beating him but i had to back off because once we got over 100mph the car was very hard to control
again, i dont doubt tein, just the cheaper tein stuff.
but i am not sure what is hype and what actually handles.
i wish i could tell by this chart, but i dont know what the ideal situation is.
i will spend 3k on dampers if they perform but not just because they say tein or jays racing or what have you.
i am seriously thinking about contacting eibach or some other american company and having them develop a suspension setup to meet my needs.

o no, i wasnt defending them, it was a direct question ebcause i was thinking about getting tein SS also for my accord, but i was afraid it wudnt meet my expectations for perforamnce...but thanks for answering my questions, im goin with ym second choice of custom ground control springs with koni shocks

i definatley recommend springs instead of coilovers unless you really know your stuff.</TD></TR></TABLE>
They do, but we also make custom springs for GC as well. A lot of them are barrell shaped for more travel
