Default ERL Performance Newest Tech Brief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a link to our Tech Brief page of our wb-site. One of our engineers just finished this and I posted it last week. This is some great info on structure of our sleeves and process. Thought you all would enjoy!
Thanks Sean

ERL . Wait til you read about the 350 small block bored to 500 CI, making some sick power. It will be in the Hot Rod magazine soon.

Sean you are the man.

Great article! It would be interesting to know recommended clearances and thermal characteristics of Mahle Gold series pistons, when used with stock H22 sleeves.

There will be more tech briefs like this one to come down the road. We are working on some different things. Let us know of some things you would like us to look at. Not promising we will but always looking for good ideas.

Thanks Sean

What does the line hone process do to the oil pump clearances since you are changing the center line? Thats what i really want to know about

Great question! This has been debated on here before. The standard practice is to take about .003 of material off of the main caps which raisses the crank center line about half of that. That difference ends up at .0015. That change will not interfere with the oil pump's performance and is less than most factory specs. Good question! Did that help you?
