SYSTEM
All you'll need is a 1 good 10", or a great 8". I'd recommend at least 300W RMS for the 10" and probably the same or more for the 8". If you are into Trunk shaking bass, you can fit 2 10's in the trunk, or a 12. Search S2Ki.com for lots more info.
I have a friend that put two 12s in his and it sounded great, however he had alot of problems with his top vibrating on the highway. All you need is a good ten with a 350w amp. I would go with a ten its more practical. Too bad he wrecked it, Grand Prix white Special edition Pace Car with at least 12 signatures from NASCAR drivers, DUMB *** I know!!!
I had a system with 4-8" on a SoundStream A100 (long time ago) and A50 front and A50 rear running MB Quart and it rocked and also won numerous competitions. My point, you do not need a 300-350 watt amp. for a sub. Get a C.V. 8" good 100 watt amp. and get a second for the mid range or get a 4 channel amp to run everything.
