suspension???
Before you buy suspension you must first decided what you want to do with the car. Road Race? Auto-x? Drag? JDM stunna? Show queen? DD?
I must say, the stock suspension is better then 85% of the stuff you find in the aftermarket scene.

I just recently ordered a set of KW V2s. A lot of people seem to recommend this brand, especially the V3 model. I thought that was a bit overkill since I won't be seeing a track THAT much so I settled on the V2.
PM me if you are curious in a few weeks and I'll let you know how I like em.

What I would recommend if you have the chance is go to a local s2000 meet and check if any have coilovers done .. if so ask to go for a ride and see what you think.
If not I would probably recommend either KW v3 or the Buddy Club race specs .. I have read lots and lots of good reviews on them and seems like there are many happy users around

I've been looking at the Swift springs as well but after seeing pics I think I want a littttle more of a drop. I don't want to tuck but I'd like the wheel to sit nicely in the wheelwell

I'm considering trying the Spoon "progressive" springs.. they are supposed to be softer than stock for most of the travel and then much more firm for the other part.
forget about brands you want to consider rates and spring quality - eibach hands down has the most choices and best quality. matched with some shortened konis that have the 5 position height adjustable perchs about 900 bucks or so street price, beyond that KW hands down which is rebadged Billlstein another awesome choice but more $$$
I personally like the stock spring balance but that will change with wheels brakes or any other mods you may be thinking of.
The tech dept at eibach is an awesome resource in making your choices.
I would recommend dropping 1 inch this will increase handling but allow for unforseen road conditions ect. Plus allowing for enough suspension movement to be comfortable and shouldnt negatively affect roll center too much.

So...you want to do what with the car? I'm guessing since you didn't specify something, you're just going to lower it for the look ...or for the "increased" performance for your "high performance street driving" or whatever.
If that's the case, go on ebay, type in "S2000 coilover", sort by cheapest price...buy the cheapest ones. I think NEX has some for like $700 or something.

I'm going to go ahead and say those are most likely lower quality dampers and parts than stock.
The stock showa stuff is really good. If you want to upgrayyyed, you'll spend some $$ for sure. If you want to hard park while being thrifty, you'll be fine with the

Why waste your time with no name coil overs when your stock damper is going to be much better? Why don't you answer my question I asked in the first place?

If you just want to go lower for the look then I have some nuspeed springs I will sell for 100 bucks and that would be perfect for you. 30k miles down the road when your shocks start to go bad you can upgrade the shocks to some Koni's. If you want adjustable get the ground controls. If you want coilovers don't be a cheap ***, come back when you have at least 1300 saved up for a nice used set.
Realize that when you lower your car, you may want to consider getting axle shaft spacers.

Used, yes....
There are some lightly used KW v3's on another website for 1500 shipped... There are some used T1R's used for only 950 shipped (awesome deal BTW, but not nearly as nice of a suspension as the v3's tho). Some Zeal B6's for 1600 shipped (not mine). A new set of T1R's for I think 1250. The list goes on...
If anyone is interested in any of these PM me and I will try and get you some links. I will sell my Zeals (B6) for 1600 as well if someone wants them, they have the new X-coil springs (which are supposed to be nicer from my understanding) not the old sprint's.

^^ no need to get sarcastic, friend. I didn't know you were talking about used parts.
Quality used parts are still 2X the price of cheapo new parts. It all depends on what the dude wants.

getting adjustable suspensions without knowing what you're doing while adjusting them generally leads to worse handling than stock and probably worse ride too.
I'd say, get the CR suspension pieces and maybe a spoon x-bar (which reduces the chassis flex, makes for a better ride over choppy roads)

Well a lot of quality kits take a lot of the guesswork out. They set the damping, spring tension, etc. from the factory. They just suggest that you don't over lower it.
It'll probably get over lowered. But it'll most likely still ride OK if it's fully adjustable.
