sweet - though i gotta say, so far, i'm pretty stoked with the drop (about 1 inch all round) - seems to ride real nice - noticably stiffer on bumps etc. but smooth as the original under normal driving. Real stiff when you throw it through a few corners. I'll take pics when i have cleaned the car and when i stop being so damn lazy.

</TD></TR></TABLE>

This is not entirely accurate. Adding the intake will help free up the restriction caused by the stock air box only if the flow into the air box is lower than what is required by the engine. If you're talking about restrictions caused by the air filter (which decreases the velocity of the air into the pipe) or any restrictions in the intake pipe, then you're more accurate. The main thing you do by adding intakes to cars is freeing up restrictions caused by the pretty stock boxes and by reducing minimal weight. Once the air is inside the engine bay (at whatever temperature), the flow into and out of that chamber is so open that you can consider it not restricted. Thats why most (I'm sure this does not apply to all situations) cold air intakes have the same exact effects as a ram air intake when the car is at speed. The usual benifit of cold air intakes is the use of colder air while the car is moving at slower speeds where a ram air loses because of its location closer to the engine. So saying increased velocity of the car will increase the effect of the intake is not entirely accurate.
You have to remember that air is not being pushed into the engine, but being pulled by the engine.

good point(s), but i think that at speed, the air is more readily accesable for the engine to suck in. Still air requires more effort to pull in to the engine than air that is already being shoved in there. I think we're all basically saying the same thing. The faster you go, the faster you go! perfect.
