have any of yall ever replaced a soft top?? im about to replace mine at the end of this month and just wanted to know what im getting myself into....?
honda wanted to charge me 1,000 just for labor, *** that.

Why not use the plastic restoring stuff rather than replacing it?

BMW makes a good project for that purpose.

There is a DIY on S2KI on how to replace btw.

 

thanks for the reply but mines like really bad! it doesnt even look black any more and have like three quarter size tares . with the rear plastic window that cant see out of.

my new top is from the ap2 with rear glass.

 

Mine has the same problem, I can barely see anything out of the plastic window. I looked into replacing the top myself and it looks like a lot of time+effort (6hr+ w/2 people). So I just bought a hardtop instead

If you have the plastic window you are going to need some extra stuff to convert it to glass because when the top folds it will try to fold the glass and it will smash.

thats what i was thinkin but you think ill need other stuff since i got it with the frame too?

 

If you bought the 02+ frame I think you should be ok.
