Default Replacing Plastic rear window.

Is it possible to have the plastic rear window replaced???Or do you need to replace the complete factory softop? If you can replace the window, how much does it generally cost??

you can just replace the plastic if you want. now if you are switching to the glass rear, then the whole top must be replaced

I want to just stick to replacing the plastic for now. I was about to purchase a Silverstone last night, everything checked out until I put the top up to check it out. The rear window was all discolored (which happens) but the window was cracked. SO how much does it cost to have the rear window only replaced by honda? I am going to look at a GPW 00' right now...and I would really like to purchase one of the two by the end of the day. I just am concerened it will be alot for that window to be replaced.....Thanks for your help guys!!!

yeah i think i remember the window piece alone being $3-400. You could probably find a used soft top on s2ki for a couple hundred more, or whole new top from hardtopguy for $800 (i think). Also some owners have had good luck with aftermarket soft tops

I did a search on that page for "Honda" and "2001", then again for "2003", and got nothing but car covers.

Only Honda makes the softtop, duh. Why mess with a good design? (minus the plastic)

Have you tried buffing the crap out of it with plastic polish compound? It can really make a difference. Might not need all new plastic.

So what if my purpose is to put a hardtop on a convertible? Huh? Huh? How about tracking? Ever thought of that? Go buy a Solstice.
